Canadian Shorthorn Association AGM

The Canadian Shorthorn Association (CSA) is planning to go ahead with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, July 10th at 1:30 pm in the Ag Pavalion at Lacombe, Alberta in conjunction with the Alberta Shorthorn Association (ASA) AGM, the Canadian Junior Shorthorn Association National Show and a Jackpot Show! The 2021 registration form is below. Please submit your registrations by Friday, June 25th and send them to albertashorthorn@gmail.com.

Schedule of events are as follows:

Thursday, July 8 - Board meeting, arrival of cattle, evening Junior mixer, hospitality room at the hotel.

Friday, July 9 - 9 am Canadian National Junior Shorthorn Show, followed by Showmanship.

3 pm - Jackpot show and socializing, with supper at the grounds. Cash bar. Supper tickets available from ASA (please pre-register below). 6:30 pm CJSA Annual Meeting. Hospitality to follow at the hotel.

Saturday, July 10 - 9 am ASA Annual Meeting. 10 am Canadian National Junior Shorthorn Show skills competitions - Card Judging, Team Grooming, Sales Talk and Team Judging. 12:30 pm Registration for CSA Annual Meeting. 1:30 pm CSA Annual Meeting. 6 pm Steak Dinner (please pre-register), Awards Presentations and Auction at the Best Western Plus.

Host hotel

Best Western Plus Inn and Suites, 4751 63rd Street, Lacombe, Alberta. Reservations – 403-782-3535. Mention the Shorthorn Meetings. A block of rooms are being held till June 25. Get your reservations in early as the hotel is filling up fast. There are also serviced campgrounds available in Lacombe as well as a couple of motels, along with unserviced camping at the Ag Grounds.

There will be a food truck at the grounds from 11 am on both Friday and Saturday which we hope everyone will support! Mountainwest Livestock & Supplies will also be in attendance with show supplies check them out at www.livestockandsupplies.com

For planning purposes, we really need everyone to pre-register for the Friday and Saturday suppers with the Alberta Shorthorn Association - see the form attached here.

NOTE that Canadian Junior Shorthorn show entrants RECEIVE one banquet ticket with their entry fee.
