About the Event

Entry deadline is October 1st. Entry fee: $85.00/entry. Tie-Out Fee: $30.00/head. GST payable on all fees.

Eligible Cattle: 

  • Beef Shorthorn, Lincoln Red, and Dual Purpose Shorthorn – all purebred males and females. 
  • Graded-up Shorthorns of registered status (87.5% 7/8 Females; 93.8% 15/16 Males). 
  • All cattle entered in the First Lady Classic, President’s Classis, and if deemed eligible, the Agribition Beef Supreme must indicate “Purebred” on their registration papers.
  • It is encouraged that all show cattle have the purple Shorthorn RFID tags in the ear. Other tags are acceptable for this year only. The purple tags are available from the Canadian Shorthorn Association.
  • Exhibitors must be in good standing with Canadian memberships current (out of country exhibitors exempt) and with Canadian Western Agribition. (ie: All entries paid and commissions on animals sold and passed at sales paid).
  • Shorthorn cattle born in Canada and shown by a Canadian exhibitor must carry Canadian registration papers issued by the Canadian Shorthorn Association/ all foreign registration papers will be evaluated according to the Canadian Shorthorn Association’s Rules of Eligibility for Registration in Canada.

Exhibitors please note: Sask Shorthorn wind shirts are considered official show apparel at CWA. If you require a wind shirt, please contact Secretary/Treasurer of SSA to ensure a proper size by September 1. A limited number of shirts will be available at the booth for purchase.
